Study allowance for students with a medical condition

The studietoeslag compensates students who cannot earn a side income for medical reasons. Since the 2022 harmonisation there is no means test and no parental-income test — the national minimum amounts apply everywhere, and municipalities may top them up.
Who qualifies
- Entitled to studiefinanciering or a WTOS contribution
- Structurally unable to work alongside your studies due to a medical condition
- Not combinable with Wajong
- Internship pay above €234.05/month is offset
