University tuition-fee exemptions

Exenciones y bonificaciones de precios públicos universitarios ·Gerido por Crue Universidades Españolas

Spanish law waives public-university tuition (precios públicos) for several groups at every public university. Members of a familia numerosa pay nothing in the special category and half in the general category (Ley 40/2003, art. 12). The university law LOSU (Ley Orgánica 2/2023, art. 32.6) grants a full waiver to students with a recognised disability of 33% or more and to victims of gender violence; victims of terrorism and their children are exempt from academic fees under Ley 29/2011 (art. 38). On top of these, regional rules give a free first year for a matrícula de honor in Bachillerato and free repeat-free credits for honours grades.
