Porta 65 Jovem (youth rent subsidy)
Porta 65 Jovem ·Uitgevoerd door Instituto da Habitação e da Reabilitação Urbana
Porta 65 Jovem, run by IHRU, subsidises rent for young tenants — around €275/month on average. Year-one support is 50%, 40% or 30% of the rent (or the municipal reference rent, if lower) by income tier, tapering on each renewal for up to five years. It requires a lease on a whole dwelling, which limits its use by students: renting a single room does not qualify.
Wie komt in aanmerking
- Aged 18–35 with a residential lease in your name on a whole dwelling — room rentals are not eligible
- Corrected monthly household income up to 4 × RMMG (€3,680 in 2026)
- Rent within the municipal ceilings and at most 60% of gross income
- No owned housing
