International mobility aid (AMI)

The AMI is the ministry's top-up for boursiers who take part of their degree abroad — an exchange semester or an internship. It pays €400 per month for 1 to 10 consecutive months, within a lifetime cap of 10 funded months, and is paid out by your institution's international relations office from a ministry envelope. It stacks with the bourse sur critères sociaux, the merit aid and an Erasmus+ grant when the stay qualifies under both schemes.

  • Boursier sur critères sociaux or beneficiary of the allocation annuelle (ASAA)
  • Preparing a national diploma at an institution taking part in the scheme
  • Study period or internship abroad of 1 to 10 consecutive months that counts toward your degree
  • Selection by your institution based on the quality of the project and its international policy

Apply to the international relations office of your institution with your mobility project — ideally at least six months before departure.
