In Crous university restaurants a full meal — main dish plus up to two sides (starter, dessert, fruit or cheese) — costs just €1. Through most of 2025/26 the €1 rate was reserved for boursiers and students in financial hardship, while others paid the €3.30 social rate; since 4 May 2026 the State extended the €1 meal to all students in every Crous restaurant and, where possible, cafeterias. It works for holders of a student card or student-apprentice card, doctoral students and civic-service volunteers, at lunch and dinner.
Wie komt in aanmerking
- Since 4 May 2026: every student with a student card (including apprentices, doctoral students and civic-service volunteers)
- During 2025/26 before that date: boursiers automatically, plus non-boursiers in hardship on request to the Crous
- An activated Izly payment account is required — without it the normal rate applies

Nothing to request anymore: activate your Izly account (your campus payment card) and the €1 rate is applied at the till.
