CVEC exemption for scholarship holders

Exonération de la CVEC pour les boursiers ·Administered by Cnous et réseau des Crous

Every student enrolling in initial training must present a CVEC certificate — the contribution funds campus health, sport, culture and welfare services and costs €105 for 2025/26. Boursiers sur critères sociaux (and ministry-equivalent scholarship holders), students with refugee status or subsidiary protection, and asylum seekers with the right to remain are exempt: the platform recognizes boursier status automatically and issues a free certificate on the spot. If you pay first and become a boursier during the year, you can claim the €105 back.

Who qualifies

  • Boursier sur critères sociaux or scholarship holder of the higher-education, culture or agriculture ministries — including conditional award notifications
  • Regional scholarship holders in health and social-care training
  • Refugees, beneficiaries of subsidiary protection, and registered asylum seekers with the right to remain
  • An attestation is mandatory even when exempt — it is required for enrollment

How to apply

Log in at cvec.etudiant.gouv.fr and request the exemption: boursier status is checked automatically and the free attestation is issued immediately; refund claims are open from 1 September to 31 May of the academic year.

Deadlines: Refund window for late boursiers: 1 September to 31 May of the academic year
