Grant

Crous specific aids (annual allocation and one-off emergency aid)

Aides spécifiques du Crous (allocation annuelle et aide ponctuelle) ·Administered by Cnous et réseau des Crous

When the bourse doesn't fit your situation, the Crous social service can step in with two specific aids. The aide ponctuelle answers a sudden, one-off difficulty: up to €3,071 per aid (the annual value of bourse échelon 2), cumulable up to €6,142 in one academic year, with an urgent €500 advance possible without waiting for the commission. The allocation annuelle (ASAA) covers lasting hardship — family rupture, proven financial independence, resuming studies after 28 — and pays the equivalent of a bourse échelon (€1,454 to €6,335 a year, in at least 6 installments) plus tuition-fee exemption.

Who qualifies

  • Enrolled in initial training in higher education
  • Under 35 on 1 September (no age limit for students with a recognized disability)
  • One-off aid: sudden, temporary hardship — open to boursiers and non-boursiers alike
  • Annual allocation: lasting hardship (family rupture, independence, over-28 study resumption); cannot be combined with a bourse sur critères sociaux

How to apply

Contact the social service of your Crous to build a file; an anonymized commission reviews it and the Crous director decides. In an emergency, ask about the €500 advance.
