Merit aid (aide au mérite)

Aide au mérite ·Administered by Cnous et réseau des Crous

The aide au mérite rewards the best baccalauréat results among students who already receive the bourse sur critères sociaux or the annual specific allocation. It adds €900 per year, paid in 9 monthly installments of €100 alongside the bourse. There is nothing to request: the rectorat sends the list of mention Très bien graduates straight to the Crous. You can receive it at most three times during your studies, and it stacks with the international mobility aid and one-off specific aid.

Who qualifies

  • Mention Très bien at the most recent baccalauréat session
  • Boursier sur critères sociaux or beneficiary of the allocation annuelle (ASAA)
  • Enrolled in higher education from the rentrée following the bac
  • Kept for a maximum of 3 years; withdrawn if attendance or exam-sitting obligations are not met

How to apply

No separate application: file your DSE, and if your bac results qualify, the Crous notifies you automatically.
